On the last episode, Lauren and Jennie discuss their upcoming trip to FLAVORTOWN! Well we couldn’t wait for some of that sweet Donkey Sauce action and had to try to replicate it on a Wawa Hoagie. Here are two Guy Fieri inspired recipes for you to try- we recommend the mobile ordering on the Wawa app!
To be honest, we had to look up a recipe for Donkey Sauce too, because like the Illuminati and the secrets to a healthy relationship, this is a mystery to us. We found the recipe on ABC’s website where they describe it as a “mayonnaise based sauce enhanced by roasted garlic, Worcestershire, and mustard for a well-rounded flavor smash.” Indeed.
Not all of the components were available so we had to improvise. This led to one recipe that was delicious but horseradish isn’t true to the Donkey Sauce recipe. Let’s call that one the…
While Lauren loved this concoction, Jennie was unhappy with the profile of this flavor smash. The quest continued and we reinvented it with new saucy goodness:
Feel free to add your own veggies but the sauces are the key. Be warned – these are a hot mess in more ways than one.

I’m glad you explained in a bit more detail the whole donkey sauce thing because with the competition you’ll be getting more new listeners who may not be familiar with donkey sauce.
So when will the three of you move to Canberra and open a Wawa so that Australians can enjoy the whole Wawa experience.
